The study wants to find out if four-month Aerobics intervention (twice a week, 60 minutes of each session) can impact the physical fitness, body composition and balance abilities in ten-year-old girls. Methods: For physical fitness testing four items of standardized test battery UNIFIT test 6-60 (standing broad jump, sit/ups per minute, 4x10m Shuttle run, endurance Shuttle run) were used. For body composition testing the bioelectrical impedance method was used (tetra-polar multifrequency B.I.A. 2000 M). Body fat percentage, body water content, muscle mass were measured. For balance abilities testing the pressure plate Footscan was used - duration for 30 seconds, four types of stands: stand with eyes opened, with eyes closed, one leg stand od right/left leg with eyes opened. Results: After four-month of Aerobics intervention these results were found out: - The testing group is 1,1 cm higher in average, body weight increased of 1,4 kg in average....
Physical growth and efficiency of preschool children regarding motion mode
Kohoutová, Hana ; Dvořáková, Hana (advisor) ; Engelthalerová, Zdeňka (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with comparing the level of physical growth and basic motor skills of preschool children, their motion mode and the conditions for movement activities in two kindergartens located in different municipalities (in a city and in a town). The aim of the study was to determine the level of growth and motor performance of preschool children in relation to the motion mode at their residence. The study included 116 children aged 4-6. The level of physical growth was assessed by measuring somatic characteristics of children (height, weight, BMI). The data extracted from the study were compared to percentile charts. The level of motor performance was assessed by sensory tests. In the case of basic motor skills there was chosen 20 ms run with standing start for the testing of speed capability, for the evaluation of explosive strength abilities was selected jump from the spot with two legs reflection, the testing of explosive strength of the upper limbs was exercised by a ball throw by both right and left hand. At the same time, these tests show the level of motor performance of preschool children. To map the conditions of the motor development of preschool children, an analysis of the conditions of the two municipalities and an analysis of the conditions and the education plan of...
Body Composition and Motor Performance of Roma Children in the Most District
Česák, Petr ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Havel, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kutáč, Petr (referee)
Title: Body Composition and Motor Performance of Roma Children in the Most District Background: The Roma way of life, or rather the values they live up to, is different from the values and way of life of the majority population. This results in a lower life expectancy of the Roma and a worse social position in Czech society, even in total social exclusion. Since the individual's lifestyle evolves from childhood on, we focused on assessing the lifestyle using several parameters of body composition and motor performance of Roma children in socially excluded Roma localities Aims: The aim of this thesis is to find out the influence of the lifestyle of Roma children living in socially excluded Roma localities in the Most district on their body composition and motor performance. The second goal is to compare the body composition and motor performance of the children from majority population and socially excluded children from the Most district with the Czech children population standards. Methods: In total 733 children 7-15 years of age participated in the study, of which 448 were from majority population of the Most district (221 girls and 227 boys) and 285 children were from socially excluded Roma localities in the Most district (124 girls and 161 boys). Bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA 2000 M...

Title: Body composition and motor performance in children of younger school age Objectives: The main objective is to prepare a literature review on the issue of body composition and motor performance. A partial goal is to evaluate the methods of estimating body composition and evaluation of test batteries designed to diagnose motor performance of individuals of younger school age. Methods: The work was processed on the basis of research and comparison of domestic and foreign professional literature, which deals with body composition and motor performance. These concepts were identified through content analysis of professional communications, publications and articles. Many information sources were used to obtain data, mainly professional literature and books on sports topics concentrated in the National Digital Library of the Czech Republic. And then also the Portal of Electronic Resources of Charles University, especially PubMed and SPORTDiscus. To search for data for this work, I used keywords such as body composition, physical fitness, motor performance, diagnostics, younger school age, test battery. Results: Research summarized the literature on the topic body composition and motor performance. Another result is a summary of body composition estimation methods and test systems for diagnosis the...

Motor performance testing of high school students in Kadaň and their relation to physical activities
Schönauer, Lukáš ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Vágner, Michal (referee)
Name of the thesis: Testing of motor performance of high school students in Kadaň and their relationship to physical activities Objectives of the thesis: The objective of the thesis is to analyze the level of basic motor performance of high school students in Kadaň and find out their relationship to physical activities Method: This thesis is processed in the form of empirical quantitative research. The research is realized in the type of environment where is possible to eliminate influences of external environment, that is in a gym. The research subject were students of two chosen high schools, both male and female. Of the total number of 232 students, 143 were female and 89 male aged 15-17. To find out the level of motor performance of the students the test battery UNIFITTEST (6-60) was used. To gather information about the relationship of students to physical activities and competitiveness, a short poll of eight items was made. These were focused on the gathering of basic anamnestic data like name and surname, date of birth, the name of the school they attend to and grade in physical education. Furthermore, it was important to find out if and how often the student takes part in physical activity in his or her free time. Specifically, these questions were divided into involvement of a student in a...
Assessment of motor performance and body holding in young school-age children
Pinkasová, Lenka ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Assessment of motor performance and body holding in young school-age children Objectives: The aim of this thesis is the assessment of motor performance, body holding and basic information concerning movement activity in young school-age children and to reveal any possible interrelations between these data. Hypothesis: 1. The volume of movement load in young school-age children affects their motor performance and body holding. 2. Motor performance evaluated by a modification of the UNIFITTEST has a significant correlation with body holding in young school age children. Methods: In order to determine the level of motor performance of the children, I used a modification of the UNIFITTEST (Měkota et al., 2002), while I also evaluated their basic somatic parameters. Their body holding was evaluated according to Mathias (Hošková and Matoušová 2007), Jaroš and Lomníček (Hošková and Matoušová 2007) and Adams's Test (Haladová and Nechvátalová 2005). Information about the frequency of the children's sports activities and their lifestyle, I collected with the form of a short survey. The research group consists of 19 boys and 11 girls with an average age of 9 years old (age range 8-11 years - by 1.1.2018), mean body height of 1.4 m (σ=8,2 cm) and mean body weight of 36.5 kg (σ=9,1 kg). Bohata, Pavel ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kinkorová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Leisure time activities and motor performance among school aged children Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to evaluate a level of motor performance and leisure time activities among school children aged 12 - 14 years, on elementary school Boženy Němcové in Litoměřice. We want to know, if students with extended teaching of music and aesthetics will get worse results compared to students without extended teaching. Methods: Study presents empirical quantitative research and 86 students participate in it. Level of motor performance was determined by the test battery called Unifittest 6 - 60 and structure of leisure time activities was monitored by the part of the sociological questionnaire called COMPASS II. Amount of substucaneous fat was measured by the multifrequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). We werified our hypotheses by the two sample t-test and with coefficient of effect size Cohens'd. Results: On the basis of evaluated results the statistically signifiant diference was not found in all hypotheses between comparator groups with level of significance (p ≤ 0,05). Cohens'd proved only small or no effect size, except for girls in Leger test where we proved medium effect size (d = 0,5). There wasn't signifiant diference in the structure of leisure time activities. Key words:...
